Opportunity to Pray:  Several significant issues will be discussed and determined at Synod 2022, scheduled for June 10 to 16.   The CRC is urging congregations to commit to praying, both in groups and individually, for a forty day prayer initiative prior to Synod starting Sunday, May 1.  If you feel so led, please register with the CRC using this form that will link you to the denominational leaders.  More information may be found here. In addition to praying individually, we invite you to join an in-person group every Sunday morning, from 9:00 to 9:30 am, in the Adult Education room to pray for Second Church, the Search Committee and for the denomination.

Cara Mazure, from the Children’s Advocacy Center (Holland), will be presenting “Five Steps to Protect Children,” for Adult Education after the morning worship service.  All adults 18 and older are encouraged to attend this valuable training about what can be done to prevent child abuse and how to respond when it does occur. How to register for the event: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MJLKVD6 If you are a current volunteer or staff that interacts with children and/or vulnerable adults, your presence is required at this training.  If you anticipate starting to work in that capacity, your presence is required at this training.  Once you have registered for the presentation, you will be sent an electronic version of the Safe Church Policy of Second Church, as well as a copy of the Volunteer Profile.  You will need to complete the Volunteer Profile and return it to anyone on the Safe Church Team or the leader of your program.
