The teens and students at New City Kids have been hard at work rehearsing lines, learning new songs and creating stage decorations for the upcoming Christmas Bash on December 1, 7pm at 20 Monroe Live. They warmly invite Second CRC community to join them for The Great Exchange. The doors open at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 7:00 pm on December 1st.
Tool Time Men’s Bible Study will be studying a book entitled “The Mulligan: Everyone Needs a Second Chance in Golf and in Life” by Wally Armstrong and Ken Blanchard for our fall season. It’s a short book and we will be reviewing 3 chapters per session for 6 sessions. Dates for Tool Time are October 8 and 22, November 5 and 19, and December 3 and 17. We will meet at church in the North Hall from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Coffee and donuts will be provided. For our winter sessions we will return to a traditional Bible study.
The knitting group would like to invite all crafters to a Christmas Sock Gnome Craft Social (no knitting skills required) on Dec 3 from 10-11am in the North Hall. Please RSVP to Darci at clappdarcie@gmail.com with number of participants. We are asking participants to bring the items needed to make one gnome. Most items can be found at the dollar store. The faux fur can be found at Fields Fabric. Please bring your own materials to the event. You will have adequate time to complete one gnome. 1 white tube sock (body) 1 thin patterned sock (hat) 1 thick or fuzzy sock (clothes) 1 small piece of faux fur 3” square (beard) 2-3 Cups rice (to fill the body) 2 small clear plastic rubber bands 2-3 small amounts of jute or sturdy string Bell or pompon or other decoration for the tip of hat, if desired Hot glue gun and glue sticks Sharp sewing scissors
