Save the Date for a special two-week series on Prayer with Tom Schwanda on May 14 & 21 at 11:30 AM in the sanctuary after the worship service. We will look at Luke 11:1-4, Matthew 6:9-15, and John 17. Both sessions will include practical prayer exercises. Tom served for nearly two decades as pastor of three congregations, worked as an editor for Baker Books and Zondervan, and is Associate Professor of Christian Formation & Ministry Emeritus at Wheaton. He has taught various seminary courses in Christian spirituality and worship and teaches D.Min courses at Fuller Seminary. Tom says, “One of my great challenges and joys is to guide learners into discovering the rich treasures of Christian spirituality. Too often, we separate the mind and experience as if they are unrelated. However, truth that is removed from experience is always left in doubt... In my retirement I continue to teach and write and my desire for this new phase of my life is to help people grow in deeper intimacy with Jesus Christ.”
